UNFINISHED BUSINESS

33-2000 A PDK member has shown interest in serving as the next Chapter Historian. Dr. Smith will keep us posted as to her final decision.

34-2000 Dr. Charles Smith asked that our Membership Chairperson develop an on-line plan that can meet the International Headquarters' request to have some form of new member orientation.

35-2000 Dr. Smith presented a proposed budget for the year with amounts designated for each committee and other needed expenditures. Officers were asked to respond, giving input regarding the adequacy of the amounts given.

Discussion followed, including whether we would fund an alternate delegate, a T-shirt project, projected new membership dues, the addition of $5.00 per membership to cover the 20/20 fund.

Before the budget can be approved, Dr. Smith announced that there must be at least three readings. Consideration and discussion of the budget will continue through two more readings.

36-2000 Dr. Charles Smith outlined the purpose and categories of awards that may be a part of a Chapter Awards Program. He plans to appoint an Awards Committee to work on categories for Walden's PDK chapter.

REMARKS

37-2000 Brent Poppenhagen expressed appreciation and congratulations to the chapter for the awards received: Outstanding New Chapter, 20/20 Award winner, and Shining Star winner past president, Andre Elliott.

38-2000 Dr. Smith reminded our members that the meetings are open to the entire membership, and he strongly encouraged input from as many members as possible. Theran Mugleston added that he needs more input from members for the newsletter. Dr. Sweeney suggested that perhaps we need a longer window of opportunity--longer meetings.

Dr. Hicks, Secretary, notes that during this meeting, we have had more participation than ever before from members other than officers. Let's keep it up!

39-2000 Dr. Andre R. Elliott complimented current officers as "the best we have had to date. The communications, the decisions, the energy and excitement, the research, service, and leadership will establish Walden PDK as not only the outstanding new chapter; let our chapter be the most outstanding chapter of all time. Let's achieve what we believe!."

ADJOURNMENT

40-2000 The meeting was adjourned at midnight, November 26, 2000.

Respectfully submitted,
Dr. Dorothy L. Hicks, Secretary
